Upside or downside (however you wear it) cross on a distressed-looking ring. The edges are organic and slopy like the “Mount-Royal” mountain in the city of Montreal. The dormant volcano ominous presence above the city is grandiose and the glowing cross on the top of the hill at night is a classic view for us Montrealer. Dedicated to our hometown & the many (and more) memories we shared together on that urban mountain.

Artist’s statement:

The Mount-Royal, or “Le Mont-Royal” in French, is a haven for us. We cherish many memories from that mountain; from our long night walk together to the famous Sundays where locals hangout and bring their “tam-tams”. I think it’s safe to say that every Montrealer has a story to tell about their experience on that mountain.

I just wanted to create a piece that represents home and our identity. Especially for my partner, The Spirit Guide, as he made me appreciate the mountain in a different way.
